How To Use Beachbody On Demand On Android (Updated)

I just picked up a new Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.  Coming from a Windows Phone, I haven’t been able to access Beachbody On Demand from my phone.  Tonight I was determined to make it happen!

Help! I Get An Error In Android Chrome!

Out of the box, I can’t use Beachbody on Demand using the Chrome Browser.  Maybe you’ve tried and you’ve received an error like this one:

Chrome Browser Error from Beachbody On DemandThe error states that “Your Flash Plug-in is Out of Date”.  It’s the same error I also get on Windows Phone.  That is because under the covers, Beachbody On Demand leverages the Flash Video format, and Adobe has decided not to officially support flash on Android.  Bummer!

All Is Not Lost!

However, this isn’t as bad as it may seem.  Chrome, the default web browser on Android implements Flash Video.  The error is saying that your Flash plug-in is out of date. It’s not saying Flash isn’t supported on this device.  All you need to do is scroll down to the bottom of this page, and check the checkbox labeled “Don’t show this message again”, and then hit that X up in the top left corner.

From there you are taken to the home page for Beachbody On Demand.  You can navigate to the workout you want to do and you’re on your way!   Below I started an Insanity Max Workout from The Challenge Du Jour. Happy Sweating!

  1. I just have to thank you for this! I have been trying to figure this out, as I have an Android phone AND tablet! Hard to “steam anywhere” when you can’t leave the computer!

  2. This is the ONLY way that this will work. I have seen so many more complicated posts (eg installing an earlier version of adobe flash, etc) that just didn’t work.

Thank you, Thank you!!! This was so easy for a non-IT person to do.

I have work travel this week and was bummed I wouldn’t have access to Beachbody OnDemand but now I do.

  3. I spent an hour trying to fix this…ended up being 2 clicks!!! Thank you…this really should be in the BOD faq’s.

  4. Hi!

I just wanted to let you know that this actually & REALLY works!!! I couldn’t access my workouts on my android and it was SUPER frustrating!!! This trick here actually worked!! Thank you SO Much!!!

  5. Hello, I have an android note 4 and am having issues watching the workouts only on my phone.
I logged in, and when I press play it does not play.
I tried watching a utube video and that does work. It’s only workouts on Beachbody on demmand. Please let me know if you can help.

  6. Ok, so how do I stream it via chromecast to my tv?! ( also on andoid devices) That is the part I can’t figure out! So frustrating!

  7. Doesn’t work for me. Only way I can play BOD videos is on Puffin browser , but the video is slowed way down (you can hear the audio normally, though.

Fuck those Adobe assholes for making it impossible for me to use BOD on mobile!

  8. You could have saved me so much time in frustrating phone calls to BB tech support as well as my Internet provider, had I have seen this sooner
    Thank you for sharing 🙂

  9. I’ve tried this on mine. It just keeps giving me the “sorry we are having tech issues. If this problem persists please contact….blah blah blah”
    This is really de-motivating.

  10. Hello,

When I go to start my video an error 100 message pops up and doesn’t allow me to play the video.

Do you know why this might be?

    Thanks!

  11. I can get it to the login page but when i click on the part to put my email address and password in, it won’t let me type it. It types over the words and takes me back to the same screen! Help!!
